PEG-MGF is a pegylated splice variant of IGF-1 (Mechano Growth Factor) supplied as a lyophilized research compound, studied in controlled research environments for localized satellite-cell activation and muscle-repair signaling. For research use only.
Description
PEG-MGF is a pegylated version of Mechano Growth Factor (MGF), a naturally occurring splice variant of the IGF-1 gene expressed locally in skeletal muscle in response to mechanical stress. Supplied as a lyophilized research-grade compound for use in controlled research environments, the PEG modification extends the molecule's half-life, making it more practical for in-vitro and in-vivo research models.About PEG-MGF (2mg)
PEG-MGF is a downstream, tissue-localized mediator of the IGF-1 signaling cascade. It is studied as a research tool for probing how skeletal muscle initiates repair, satellite-cell activation, and adaptive remodeling under mechanical stress. What It's Being Studied To Do
- Activate satellite cells (muscle stem cells) at sites of mechanical damage in research models
- Promote localized muscle-fiber repair and regeneration markers
- Enhance protein synthesis pathways in stressed or damaged muscle tissue
- Support myonuclear addition and hyperplasia markers in research models
- Examine structural adaptation in skeletal muscle without significant systemic spillover
- Investigate recovery dynamics following eccentric or resistance-load research protocols
Why It Matters in Research
Muscle repair in research models is most efficient where stress or damage occurs. Native MGF production is a short-lived response signal, making the PEGylated form valuable for examining how an extended, amplified "repair call" alters tissue-level adaptation.Common Research Pairings
- HGH / CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin — systemic GH-axis context
- IGF-1 LR3 — broader anabolic-pathway research
- BPC-157 / TB-500 — tendon and soft-tissue repair
- KPV — inflammation-balance research

Storage Instructions
All products from Rhema Research Labs are manufactured using a lyophilization (freeze-drying) process. This method is designed to maintain product integrity and allows vials to remain stable during shipping for approximately 3–4 months.
Once a vial is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, it should be stored in the refrigerator to help maintain stability. Under these conditions, reconstituted material is generally considered stable for up to 30 days.
Lyophilization is a dehydration technique in which compounds are frozen and then exposed to low pressure. This causes the water in the vial to sublimate directly from solid to gas, leaving behind a stable, crystalline white structure. This powder can be kept at room temperature until reconstitution.
Upon receipt, products should be stored away from heat and light. For short-term use, refrigeration at approximately 4°C (39°F) is suitable. For long-term storage (several months to years), vials may be placed in a freezer at approximately -80°C (-112°F). Freezing is the preferred method for preserving product stability over extended periods.
