Section 3 How We Use Your Information

  • Account qualification and approval — to verify that you are a qualified research professional before granting purchase access.
  • Order processing and fulfillment — to process payment, arrange shipping, and fulfill your orders.
  • Fraud prevention and compliance screening — to screen accounts and orders against prohibited end-use channels, OFAC sanctions lists, and other applicable compliance requirements.
  • Payment processing — to transmit necessary information to our payment processor to authorize and complete transactions.
  • Customer support — to respond to inquiries, resolve disputes, and assist with order issues.

  • Compliance record-keeping — to maintain records of buyer qualification, attestations, and transactions as required by applicable law and payment network rules.

We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, third-party marketing, or the sale of personal information to third parties.

  • Contract performance — processing is necessary to fulfill your orders and maintain your account.
  • Legal obligation — processing is necessary to comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including FDA regulations, financial regulations, and card network requirements.
  • Legitimate interests — processing is necessary for fraud prevention, compliance screening, account qualification verification, and the security and integrity of our platform.
  • Consent — where you have expressly consented to specific processing, such as receipt of transactional communications.

Section 5 Information We Share

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

Payment Processors. We share billing information, order totals, and required transaction data with our payment processor (Stripe, Inc.) to authorize and complete transactions.

Shipping and Fulfillment Partners. We share name, shipping address, and order details with shipping carriers to fulfill and deliver your orders.

Compliance and Fraud Screening. We may share account and transaction information with compliance screening services and fraud prevention providers as necessary to verify purchaser qualification and prevent fraudulent or prohibited transactions.

Legal and Regulatory Disclosure. We may disclose your information where required by applicable law, court order, subpoena, or lawful request from a regulatory or law enforcement authority, including the FDA, FTC, DEA, or financial regulators. We may also disclose information to Stripe, card networks, or acquiring banks where required to investigate or respond to compliance inquiries, chargeback disputes, or account reviews.

Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

Professional Advisors. We may share information with attorneys, accountants, and other professional advisors under obligations of confidentiality.

Section 6 Compliance Record Retention

Buyer qualification records, electronic attestation records, and order records are retained for a minimum of five (5) years from the date of account creation or last order, whichever is later. This retention period reflects our obligations under applicable regulations and payment network rules, including requirements to demonstrate buyer verification as a condition of payment processing for research-use-only materials. These records may be disclosed to payment processors, card networks, regulatory authorities, or law enforcement where required or permitted by applicable law.

You may configure your browser to decline cookies, but doing so may impair your ability to use certain features of this site. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or behavioral targeting.

Section 8 Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Payment card data is processed and tokenized by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers, CVV codes, or magnetic stripe data. In the event of a data security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Section 9 Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your state of residence, you may have certain rights with respect to your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@rhemaresearchlabs.com. Note that certain information, including compliance and attestation records, may not be deletable where retention is required by applicable law or payment network rules.
