FST 344 is a recombinant follistatin glycoprotein supplied as a lyophilized research compound, studied in controlled research environments as a potent myostatin inhibitor for skeletal-muscle and growth-axis research models. For research use only.
Description
FST 344 is a recombinant form of follistatin — a naturally occurring glycoprotein that functions as a potent myostatin inhibitor. Supplied as a lyophilized research-grade compound for use in controlled research environments, it is widely investigated in skeletal-muscle and growth-axis research models for its capacity to bind and neutralize myostatin.About FST 344 / Follistatin (1mg)
Follistatin acts as a molecular "decoy" — binding myostatin and other TGF-β superfamily ligands and preventing them from activating their receptors. In preclinical research models, this is one of the most powerful anabolic signaling tools studied, frequently producing dramatic shifts in muscle-growth markers. What It's Being Studied To Do
- Increase skeletal-muscle mass and strength markers in research models by removing myostatin's natural inhibitory signal
- Promote muscle-fiber hypertrophy and potential hyperplasia in research models
- Preserve lean-mass markers during catabolic-state research models
- Examine functional-performance changes in research models
- Investigate secondary effects on bone-density markers downstream of increased muscle
Why It Matters in Research
Myostatin is the body's built-in limiter on muscle size — a research-relevant target in studies of sarcopenia, cachexia, and muscle-wasting research models. FST 344 research explores how neutralizing this signal alters muscle-development pathways at the tissue level.Common Research Pairings
- ACE-031 — dual myostatin-pathway targeting
- HGH / IGF-1 LR3 — synergistic growth-signaling research
- PEG-MGF — localized muscle-repair research
- AOD-9604 — adipose-balance research

Storage Instructions
All products from Rhema Research Labs are manufactured using a lyophilization (freeze-drying) process. This method is designed to maintain product integrity and allows vials to remain stable during shipping for approximately 3–4 months.
Once a vial is reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, it should be stored in the refrigerator to help maintain stability. Under these conditions, reconstituted material is generally considered stable for up to 30 days.
Lyophilization is a dehydration technique in which compounds are frozen and then exposed to low pressure. This causes the water in the vial to sublimate directly from solid to gas, leaving behind a stable, crystalline white structure. This powder can be kept at room temperature until reconstitution.
Upon receipt, products should be stored away from heat and light. For short-term use, refrigeration at approximately 4°C (39°F) is suitable. For long-term storage (several months to years), vials may be placed in a freezer at approximately -80°C (-112°F). Freezing is the preferred method for preserving product stability over extended periods.
